BitMart Is Shutting Down: The Deadline That Decides Your Money Is August 26, Not January 2027
BitMart announced an orderly wind-down of its trading platform on 26 July 2026. Registrations and deposits stopped the same day. The closing date in the headlines is 31 January 2027, but the date that determines whether you get paid is 05:00 UTC on 26 August 2026.
- BitMart is closing its trading platform. New registrations and deposits stopped on 26 July 2026 at 01:30 UTC, futures went reduce-only, and spot stopped accepting new orders.
- All trading ends on 26 August 2026 at 01:00 UTC. The platform itself closes on 31 January 2027 at 15:59 UTC.
- The deadline that matters most is 05:00 UTC on 26 August 2026: BitMart asks users to have submitted withdrawal requests by then.
- Submitting a withdrawal is not the same as receiving it. BitMart states that requests may go through identity, address, source of funds, Travel Rule and sanctions review, and that submission does not mean the review is complete.
- BitMart warns that impersonation scams rise during a wind-down. There is no paid priority withdrawal channel, and no legitimate fee to unfreeze or expedite anything.
BitMart published a notice on 26 July 2026 titled "Important Notice Regarding the Orderly Cessation of BitMart Operations". It is not a regional exit or a product cut. The exchange is winding down its trading platform entirely, and the first restrictions took effect the same hour the notice went out.
What BitMart announced
BitMart is closing its trading platform after what it calls a careful evaluation of operating conditions, market environment, and future strategic direction. The official notice went out on 26 July 2026 and describes a staged shutdown rather than an immediate stop, which is the difference between an orderly wind-down and a collapse.
Three things stopped immediately, at 01:30 UTC on 26 July: new user registrations, all crypto and fiat deposits, and the opening of new positions. Futures accounts moved to reduce-only, spot stopped accepting new orders, and Copy Trading, Grid Trading and API Trading are being discontinued. Any open order that users do not cancel will be cancelled by the system.
Two related announcements landed the day before and are part of the same sequence: Spot Margin trading was discontinued on 25 July, with forced liquidation of remaining margin positions at 02:00 UTC on 26 July, and the Automated Market Making bot service was suspended on the same day.
BitMart also says it will not simply vanish after trading ends. Users will still be able to log in for a period after operations cease, to review records and submit withdrawal requests under the procedures in effect at that time. The company has not published what that period is.

Every date, in order
The wind-down runs across 6 months, but the practical window for getting your assets out is the next 4 weeks. Everything after 26 August is administrative: no trading, and withdrawals handled through a review queue rather than the normal flow.
| Date (UTC) | What happens |
|---|---|
| 25 July 2026 | Spot Margin trading and the AMM bot service discontinued |
| 26 July 2026, 01:30 | New registrations stop. Deposits stop. Futures go reduce-only, spot stops accepting new orders, Copy, Grid and API trading wind down |
| 26 July 2026, 02:00 | Forced liquidation of any remaining Spot Margin positions |
| 26 August 2026, 01:00 | All spot, futures and other trading services end. Complete identity verification and close all positions before this point |
| 26 August 2026, 05:00 | BitMart's recommended deadline for submitting withdrawal requests |
| 31 January 2027, 15:59 | Platform operations officially cease. Login remains available for an unspecified period afterwards |
Why submitting early is not the same as submitting on time
The single most important sentence in the announcement is that submitting a withdrawal request does not mean the review has been completed or that the assets have been broadcast to the blockchain. A request filed at 04:59 UTC on 26 August meets the deadline and can still sit in a queue afterwards.
BitMart lists what a review can include: verification of identity and KYC information, checks on login devices, IP addresses and account security, review of the withdrawal address and its blockchain risk, review of the source of funds and trading history, plus Travel Rule compliance and sanctions screening. Where necessary it can ask for proof of identity, proof of address, proof of source of funds, or proof that you control the destination address.
Requests are processed in order of submission, alongside compliance review, asset type and network conditions. That ordering is the argument for acting now rather than in the final week: everyone else on the platform is reading the same notice, and a queue that is ordered by submission time rewards whoever files first.
BitMart's own instruction is to complete identity verification and close all positions before 01:00 UTC on 26 August, and to submit withdrawal requests before 05:00 UTC on the same day. It also asks users not to file duplicate requests, which slow the queue without improving anyone's position, and to check status through the withdrawal history instead.
What happens to open positions and Earn products
Futures positions still open when trading ends may be settled by the platform, not by you. BitMart says remaining positions may be settled based on the applicable mark price, index price or settlement rules in effect at that time, with detailed arrangements to be announced separately. In practice that means closing your own positions is the only way to control the price you exit at.
Earn, Staking, Lending and Launchpad are being discontinued in phases according to each product's own arrangements, with redemption and settlement communicated through dedicated announcements. Locked or term products are the ones to check first, because their redemption date may not line up with the trading deadline.
Accounts frozen because of disputes or sanctions matters keep access to the applicable appeals process, which is a meaningful detail for anyone already in a support case.
The scam wave BitMart is warning about
BitMart explicitly warns that impersonation attempts increase during a wind-down, and names the exact scripts. It states it will never ask users through Telegram, WhatsApp, WeChat or private social accounts to pay an expedited processing fee, an account unfreezing fee, or a security deposit.
There are no paid priority withdrawal services and no expedited processing channels. Anyone offering one is running a scam, and the offer is more tempting than usual precisely because withdrawals are slow and people are anxious. BitMart staff will also never ask for your account password, SMS code, authenticator code, private keys or recovery phrase.
The safe pattern during any exchange wind-down is the boring one: reach the platform by typing the address yourself rather than following a link from a message, and treat every unsolicited contact about your withdrawal as hostile until proven otherwise.
Where BitMart traders go from here
Once your funds are out, the practical question is where the trading moves, and fees are the part of that decision you can still control. Taker fees on the major venues sit between 0.05% and 0.06% on futures, so an active trader gives up a meaningful amount each year to whichever exchange they land on.
You can pick any of the other 10 exchanges through Trade Reclaim and keep earning cashback, the same way you did on BitMart. We cover Bybit, Binance, OKX, MEXC, Bitget, Phemex, Bitunix, BloFin, LeveX and WEEX, and pay back 30% to 50% of the trading fees you pay there, in USDT, withdrawable at any time.
One thing decides whether it works: the rebate is tied to how the account was registered, so it has to be set up when you sign up, not afterwards. If you are moving anyway, this is the moment it costs you nothing. Our fee comparison across all of them shows the published rates side by side, including the net rate after cashback.
For anyone who was earning cashback on BitMart through us: trading there ends with the platform, so no further cashback accrues. Cashback already credited stays in your Trade Reclaim account and remains withdrawable, because it sits with us rather than with BitMart.

Frequently asked questions
Is BitMart really shutting down?
Yes. BitMart published a notice on 26 July 2026 announcing an orderly wind-down of its trading platform. New registrations and deposits stopped that day, trading ends on 26 August 2026, and the platform closes on 31 January 2027.
What is the deadline to withdraw funds from BitMart?
BitMart asks users to submit withdrawal requests before 05:00 UTC on 26 August 2026, and to complete identity verification and close all positions before 01:00 UTC on the same day. Withdrawals remain possible after that through a separate processing procedure, but on BitMart's terms rather than the normal flow.
Why is my BitMart withdrawal taking so long?
BitMart states that requests are processed in order of submission and may be subject to review covering identity and KYC, login devices and IP addresses, the withdrawal address, source of funds, Travel Rule compliance and sanctions screening. Submitting a request does not mean the review is finished. BitMart also asks users not to file duplicate requests, which do not speed anything up.
Can I still open a BitMart account?
No. BitMart stopped accepting new user registrations on 26 July 2026 at 01:30 UTC as part of the wind-down.
What happens to my open futures positions?
Positions still open when trading ends on 26 August 2026 may be settled by the platform using the applicable mark price, index price or settlement rules in effect at that time. Closing positions yourself before the deadline is the only way to control your exit price.
Is BitMart asking for a fee to release withdrawals?
No, and any such request is a scam. BitMart states it will never ask through Telegram, WhatsApp, WeChat or private social accounts for an expedited processing fee, an unfreezing fee or a security deposit, and that no paid priority withdrawal channel exists.
Which exchange should I move to after BitMart?
That depends on what you trade, but you can connect any of the other 10 exchanges we cover (Bybit, Binance, OKX, MEXC, Bitget, Phemex, Bitunix, BloFin, LeveX, WEEX) and keep getting 30% to 50% of your trading fees back. Register the new account through the rebate link, because it cannot be applied retroactively to an account you already hold.
