Is Bitunix Available in the US? The Official Answer for 2026
No. Bitunix lists the United States and every US territory as Prohibited Jurisdictions, applies the ban to anyone physically located there, and names VPNs, proxies and GPS spoofing as grounds to close an account.
- Bitunix's Restricted Regions and User Eligibility Notice, last updated 5 August 2026, names the United States first, including Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands.
- The ban covers anyone physically located in a Prohibited Jurisdiction, so it applies to travelers in the US as well as residents.
- Bitunix ties the rule to residence and location, not citizenship. An American living outside the US is not excluded by this notice.
- VPNs, proxies and GPS spoofing are banned by name. Bitunix can suspend or terminate the account and close open positions.
- Where Bitunix is allowed, futures cost 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker, and Trade Reclaim returns 35% of every fee.
Bitunix is popular with traders who want a quick sign up and high leverage, and it is a common question from Americans who find it through social media. The answer is on a single Bitunix page, the Restricted Regions and User Eligibility Notice, which Bitunix says forms an integral part of its User Agreement. Here is what it says, who it covers, and where it differs from other exchanges.
Can you use Bitunix in the US?
No. The United States is the first entry on Bitunix's list of Prohibited Jurisdictions, and the list includes every US territory. The Restricted Regions and User Eligibility Notice, last updated on 5 August 2026, names "the United States (including all U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands)", followed by Canada, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and 22 more jurisdictions.
Bitunix's own guide on using Bitunix in the United States, updated 20 September 2026, gives the same answer from the user side: US access is not offered, and identity checks and location signals can flag an account as a US user.

- Puerto Rico

Residents, travelers and Americans abroad
Bitunix's rule follows where you are, not which passport you hold. The notice says the services "are not available to anyone who is physically located in a Prohibited Jurisdiction." A German trader on holiday in Florida falls under it for as long as they are there, and a US resident does too.
Citizenship on its own is not the test. Bitunix's US guide states that the policy turns on residence, not nationality, so an American living in Lisbon or Dubai is not excluded by this notice, as long as their residence is outside the list. That is the opposite of Phemex, whose terms also exclude US citizens and Green Card holders living abroad.
What happens if you use a VPN?
Bitunix names VPNs explicitly, and the consequence includes closing open positions. The notice reads: "Accessing the Services through a VPN, proxy service, GPS spoofing tool, or any other method designed to hide or disguise your location, or otherwise bypass geographic restrictions, is not permitted. If this happens, Bitunix may suspend or terminate your account, close any open positions, restrict your access to the Services."
The User Agreement adds the tools to enforce it: section 1.1 lets Bitunix suspend, restrict or terminate an account that does not meet the eligibility requirements, and section 5.5 allows freezing assets where the law permits, with inaccurate or misleading information listed as a ground. Since 1 July 2026 withdrawals also require completed identity verification, which is the point where a US address shows up.
- 1You access Bitunix from a Prohibited Jurisdiction
- 2You use a VPN, proxy or GPS spoofing to hide it
- 3The notice: not permitted
- 4Bitunix may suspend or terminate the account and close open positions
Where you are physically located and where you live. Not your passport.
Where Bitunix is allowed: what it costs
Bitunix charges 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker on futures at VIP 0, and 0.08% maker and 0.10% taker on spot. The Bitunix fee schedule lowers futures to 0.02% and 0.05% at VIP 1, which Bitunix now grants from 1,000,000 USDT of 30 day futures volume or a 300 USDT balance.
At 5 million USDT of futures volume a month, the VIP 0 taker fee comes to 3,000 USDT. Trade Reclaim returns 35% of every Bitunix fee in USDT, which takes the effective taker rate to 0.039% and returns 1,050 USDT on that volume. The Bitunix fee guide has every tier, and the Bitunix page shows the setup.
| Maker | Taker | |
|---|---|---|
| Bitunix VIP 0 | 0.020% | 0.060% |
| With 35% Trade Reclaim cashback | 0.013% | 0.039% |
Futures, VIP 0, October 2026. Cashback is 35% of the fee, paid in USDT.
