- Trade Reclaim returns 30% of trading fees on Binance.
- Trade Reclaim returns 80% of trading fees on Phemex. Live Phemex fee cuts besides cashback are VIP, PT and vePT.
Open and close a 50,000 USDT Futures position as Taker and the two venues already disagree on the bill. Binance bills 0.0500% of the round trip. Phemex bills 0.06%. One trade looks cheap. A year of the same size is not. The schedules below come from Phemex and Binance, then the net after cashback on each venue.
How do Phemex and Binance trading fees compare?
Spot matches at the regular tier. Phemex is cheaper on Futures Maker. Binance is cheaper on Futures Taker.
Those four lines decide most accounts that never reach VIP 1. Discounts sit on top of the regular row. They do not replace it. Source: the Phemex trading fee structure and the Binance fee schedule. Verified 25 August 2026.

| Line | Phemex regular | Binance regular | Phemex with Trade Reclaim | Binance with Trade Reclaim |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spot Maker | 0.10% | 0.10% | 0.0200% | 0.0700% |
| Spot Taker | 0.10% | 0.10% | 0.0200% | 0.0700% |
| Futures Maker | 0.01% | 0.0200% | 0.0020% | 0.0140% |
| Futures Taker | 0.06% | 0.0500% | 0.0120% | 0.0350% |

Who has lower Spot fees?
Nobody. Regular crypto Spot is 0.10% Maker and 0.10% Taker on both venues.
A 50,000 USDT Spot fill costs 50 USDT as Maker and 50 USDT as Taker on Phemex and on Binance. There is no Taker premium on this Spot row at VIP 0. This article uses crypto Spot. Fiat on-ramps, Convert spreads and card buys sit outside the table. They dwarf any 0.10% Spot line if you fund with a card instead of a transfer.
Phemex VIP 1 still posts 0.1000% Spot Taker and cuts Spot Maker to 0.0900% once you hit 800,000 USDT of 30 day Spot volume, 32,000 vePT, or 50,000 USDT average assets (one test is enough). Binance Spot VIP 1 is a volume ladder of its own and a BNB pay option sits on top of it. Do not copy a screenshot of either VIP 1 Spot row onto this page. Read the live row after you qualify. Neither venue applies a token cut to this Spot base row until you opt into it.
Who has lower Futures fees?
Maker is lower on Phemex. Taker is lower on Binance, at the regular tier.
Regular Phemex contracts print 0.01% Maker and 0.06% Taker, per the Phemex Futures fee structure. Regular Binance USDT Perpetual prints 0.0200% Maker and 0.0500% Taker, per the Binance fee schedule. A Taker round trip on 50,000 USDT: 60 USDT on Phemex against 50 USDT on Binance. As Maker: 10 USDT on Phemex and 20 USDT on Binance.
On Phemex, Taker is six times Maker. A Limit Order that rests on Phemex moves the contract trading fee from 0.06% to 0.01%. On Binance, Taker is two and a half times Maker. The gap is smaller, so order type still matters, just less. Funding sits outside this table. It moves between longs and shorts. Neither schedule discounts it.
Which VIP ladder cuts fees first?
Phemex VIP 1 on contracts opens at a lower 30 day volume than Binance VIP 1. Binance VIP 1 then matches the Phemex Taker cut, and BNB sits on top of it.
Phemex opens its ladder earlier. 8,000,000 USDT of 30 day contract volume puts an account on VIP 1, and Phemex counts three other routes to the same row: 800,000 USDT of Spot volume, a 32,000 vePT position, or 50,000 USDT in average assets, per the Phemex fee structure. Binance wants 15,000,000 USDT of 30 day volume for its VIP 1, per the Binance fee schedule, and counts volume alone.
Binance has a lever Phemex does not: paying fees in BNB takes 25% off Spot and 10% off Futures, and it stacks on whatever VIP row you sit on. That is the honest counterweight to the wider gap in the table, and it costs you a BNB position you have to hold. Read the row you actually qualify for, not the one you are aiming at. Star VIP rows sit outside this article.

Who can actually open these accounts?
This comparison covers the global Phemex and Binance platforms. It is not a list of every licensed local entity.
EEA traders use a MiCA Binance entity where one exists. The fee math here follows the global binance.com schedule. Phemex requires KYC and sets a 0 USDT withdrawal cap until KYC is done.
United States residents sit outside both global platforms. Global Binance points US users at Binance.US, a thinner separate product that is not this table. Binance Japan is a licensed local venue and is not the global schedule either. Phemex does not list Japan on its restricted countries page. Country rules move. Read the live terms and do not fund a book your residency forbids.
