Bybit Türkiye 2026: Is Bybit Legal in Turkey and What Bybit TR Offers
Bybit serves Turkish residents through Bybit TR, a Turkish company on the Capital Markets Board's temporary operating list. No crypto trading platform holds a full SPK authorization yet, and Bybit TR is a separate platform from bybit.com, with spot only and strict withdrawal limits.
- Bybit runs a Turkish platform, Bybit TR at bybit.tr, through Bybit Kripto Varlık Alım Satım Platformu AŞ, formerly Narkasa.
- That company is number 11 on the SPK's list of providers in operation, dated 1 October 2026. The SPK states that being on the list does not mean a firm is authorized.
- No crypto trading platform in Turkey has a full SPK authorization yet. The SPK suspended the 30 June 2026 deadline on 26 March 2026.
- Under Law 7518, a foreign platform that serves Turkish residents counts as unlicensed. The law punishes operators, not users.
- Bybit TR offers spot trading, Earn and TRY bank deposits, requires advanced verification and caps stablecoin withdrawals at 6,000 USD a day.
"Is Bybit legal in Turkey" gets two kinds of answers online: posts saying Bybit is licensed by the SPK, and posts saying foreign exchanges are banned. Neither is accurate in 2026. The answer comes from three official sources: Law 7518, the SPK's list of crypto asset service providers, and Bybit TR's own help center.
Can you use Bybit in Türkiye?
Yes, through Bybit TR, Bybit's Turkish platform, which is on the SPK's list of providers in operation but not yet fully authorized. The SPK list of providers in operation, dated 1 October 2026 and marked as a temporary list, shows Bybit Kripto Varlık Alım Satım Platformu AŞ as entry number 11, with its former name Narkasa Yazılım Ticaret AŞ. Bybit announced the name change on 7 November 2024, citing the new Turkish crypto rules.
The SPK adds a sentence to that list that many articles leave out: being on it "does not mean that the firms on this list are authorized under the relevant legislation." That applies to every platform on the list, because no Turkish trading platform has a full authorization yet. So the accurate description is that Bybit TR operates under the transition rules, not that it is licensed by the SPK.
What Turkey's crypto law requires
Since July 2024, any platform serving Turkish residents needs SPK permission, and foreign platforms count as unlicensed. Law 7518, published on 2 July 2024, added article 99/A to the Capital Markets Law: activity by platforms based abroad that targets people resident in Turkey is treated as unlicensed crypto asset service provision. Opening an office in Turkey, running a Turkish language website, or promoting the service to Turkish residents is enough to count as targeting.
The penalties fall on operators: article 109/A sets 3 to 5 years in prison and a judicial fine for running a crypto asset service without permission, and the SPK can block access to such sites. The law sets no penalty for users. The licensing timeline moved this year: platforms had to apply by 30 June 2025, and the 30 June 2026 deadline to hold an authorization was suspended by the SPK on 26 March 2026, until authorized custodians are widely available. So far the SPK has granted crypto custody permits to 3 banks: Akbank, Garanti and Yapı Kredi.

What Bybit TR offers, and its limits
Bybit TR is a spot platform with Turkish lira on and off ramps. Its getting started guide lists spot trading, Earn, bank transfers in TRY and buying crypto with TRY. It lists no futures, perpetuals or options, the products Bybit is best known for on bybit.com. Spot fees at VIP 0 are 0.10% for both maker and taker.
Verification is stricter than on most exchanges. Bybit TR's verification FAQ makes advanced identity verification mandatory for every product and caps stablecoin withdrawals at 6,000 USD a day and 100,000 USD a month. Turkey's financial crimes regulator MASAK adds waiting periods: its Communiqué No. 29 sets at least 48 hours before certain withdrawals and 72 hours before a user's first withdrawal.
Bybit TR is not bybit.com
Bybit TR and bybit.com are separate platforms run by separate companies, with separate accounts. Türkiye is not on bybit.com's list of excluded jurisdictions, which we cover in Bybit restricted countries. But the law treats a foreign platform that targets Turkish residents as unlicensed, and bybit.com no longer offers a Turkish language version: its Turkish address redirects to the English site.
For a Turkish resident that leaves a clear legal route, Bybit TR, and a platform outside the Turkish system, bybit.com. Trade Reclaim's Bybit cashback works on bybit.com accounts and does not cover Bybit TR, because Bybit TR is a separate platform. Readers who live outside Turkey and trade on bybit.com can check what it costs below.
