Open and close a 50,000 USDT Futures position as Taker and the two venues already disagree on the bill. One trade looks cheap. A year of the same size is not. The schedules below come from OKX and Bybit, then the net after 30% cashback.

How do OKX and Bybit trading fees compare?

OKX is cheaper at the regular tier on Spot Maker and on Futures Taker. Futures Maker is the same. Spot Taker is the same.

Those four lines decide most accounts that never reach VIP 1. Discounts sit on top of the regular row. They do not replace it. Source: the OKX pair-group consolidation notice (effective 14 August 2026) and the Bybit fees you need to know page. Verified 24 August 2026.

The last two columns apply 30% cashback from Trade Reclaim to each venue. Cashback does not reverse the ranking. Current OKX cashback and Bybit cashback pages carry the live ladders.

How do OKX and Bybit trading fees compare?

Who has lower Spot fees?

OKX is cheaper on regular Spot Maker. Spot Taker is the same on both.

Regular OKX Spot is 0.0800% Maker and 0.1000% Taker on the unified Group 1 schedule. Regular Bybit Spot is 0.10% Maker and 0.10% Taker. A 50,000 USDT Spot fill as Maker costs 40 USDT on OKX and 50 USDT on Bybit. The same fill as Taker costs 50 USDT on both.

Neither venue applies a token discount to these Spot lines. The next cut is a Limit Order that rests as Maker, or a VIP row. Jurisdiction pages on the OKX fee site can still list a different Spot group for fiat pairs. This article uses the unified crypto schedule.

Who has lower Futures fees?

Maker matches. Taker is lower on OKX at the regular tier.

Regular OKX Futures is 0.0200% Maker and 0.0500% Taker. Regular Bybit USDT Perpetual is 0.0200% Maker and 0.0550% Taker, as published on the Bybit fee page. Open and close a 50,000 USDT position as Taker and you pay 50 USDT on OKX against 55 USDT on Bybit. As Maker, both charge 20 USDT for that round trip.

Funding sits outside this table. It moves between longs and shorts. Neither schedule discounts it. Trading fees are the line you can move with order type, VIP and cashback.

Which VIP ladder cuts fees first?

OKX VIP 1 on Futures opens at a lower 30-day volume than Bybit VIP 1.

OKX Regular Futures applies below 5,000,000 USDT of 30-day Futures volume, or below 100,000 USD in assets. VIP 1 starts at either threshold. Bybit VIP 1 starts at 10,000,000 USDT of 30-day volume or 100,000 USDT in assets, per the Bybit VIP programme. Asset floors match. Volume floors do not.

Once you sit on a VIP row, read that row on the OKX fee page and on Bybit. Do not assume the regular gap survives at the top of either ladder. The live table is the source, not a screenshot from last quarter.

What do you pay after cashback?

Trade Reclaim returns 30% of the trading fees you pay on OKX and on Bybit, in USDT, withdrawable anytime.

The ranking does not change. OKX still wins on regular Spot Maker and regular Futures Taker. Both bills fall by the same fraction. You do not change how you trade. The link is your public UID. Run the same size through the cashback calculator.

On the 50,000 USDT Taker round trip, 30% back is 15 USDT on OKX and 16.50 USDT on Bybit. The 5 USDT gap between the venues becomes 3.50 USDT after cashback. Pick the book you want to trade. Do not pick a venue for a 3.50 USDT line.

What does one position cost?

A 50,000 USDT Futures position, opened and closed as Taker, costs 50 USDT on OKX and 55 USDT on Bybit before cashback.

At 5 round trips a week that is 250 USDT a week on OKX and 275 USDT on Bybit. Over 52 weeks: 13,000 USDT versus 14,300 USDT. 30% back is 3,900 USDT versus 4,290 USDT. Net paid: 9,100 USDT versus 10,010 USDT. A 10,000 USDT position at the same pace is one fifth of those figures.

Put your own position size into the cashback calculator. The output is a yearly trading fee bill. It is not a monthly volume slogan.

Who can actually open these accounts?

This comparison covers the global OKX and Bybit platforms. It is not a list of every licensed local entity.

EEA traders use bybit.eu under MiCA. The fee math here follows the global bybit.com schedule. OKX publishes fee pages per jurisdiction. Start at the OKX fees URL for your entity.

Japan: Bybit completed its exit on 22 July 2026. Do not treat Bybit as a venue you can open. The timeline is in Is Bybit available in Japan?. Global OKX restricts Japan. United States residents are not served by either global platform.

So which is cheaper in 2026?

OKX is cheaper at the regular tier on the two lines that move most accounts: Spot Maker and Futures Taker.

Choose Bybit if you want that derivatives terminal, bybit.eu for the EEA, or a book you already know. Choose OKX if the regular fee table is the decision. Liquidity on BTC and ETH is deep on both. On thin alts, the spread will dwarf this fee gap. The full single-venue notes sit in OKX fees and Bybit fees.

Futures Maker matches. Spot Taker matches. 30% cashback from Trade Reclaim applies on both, so the ranking stays the same after the rebate.

Are OKX and Bybit Spot fees the same?

No. Spot Taker matches at 0.10%. Spot Maker does not. OKX posts 0.0800% Maker on the unified regular schedule. Bybit posts 0.10% Maker. A 50,000 USDT Maker fill is 40 USDT on OKX and 50 USDT on Bybit. VIP rows then cut both sides on each venue.

Which exchange has lower Futures fees?

OKX, on regular Taker. Maker is 0.0200% on OKX and 0.0200% on Bybit. Taker is 0.0500% on OKX and 0.0550% on Bybit. A 50,000 USDT Taker round trip is 50 USDT on OKX and 55 USDT on Bybit. Funding is a separate payment between longs and shorts and is not discounted on either venue.

Can I get cashback on both OKX and Bybit?

Yes. Trade Reclaim returns 30% of the trading fees you pay on each, in USDT, withdrawable anytime. The link is your public UID. Existing accounts that were opened without the referral cannot be relinked on Bybit. OKX follows its own referral rules. Cashback does not change your Maker or Taker schedule.

Which VIP ladder is easier to reach?

OKX VIP 1 on Futures opens at 5,000,000 USDT of 30-day Futures volume or 100,000 USD in assets. Bybit VIP 1 opens at 10,000,000 USDT of 30-day volume or 100,000 USDT in assets. The asset floor matches. The volume floor is lower on OKX. Read the live row on each exchange after you qualify. Do not copy a Regular gap onto a VIP 5 account.

Can Japanese residents use Bybit or OKX?

Not the global Bybit platform. Bybit completed its Japan exit on 22 July 2026. This article does not present Bybit as an option for Japan. Global OKX lists Japan as restricted. Local access, where it exists, is a separate licensed entity and a separate fee table. United States residents are outside both global platforms as well.
